Hello, I’m Mary Ellen, and I would love to be your celebrant.

Let’s be honest, nobody wants a wedding ceremony that feels like a history lecture. You want it to be fun, a little bit emotional and totally legally binding (obviously).

That’s where I come in.

I’m here to make sure that your ceremony is the highlight of the day, not just the bit everyone sits through to get to the champagne.

I love being a celebrant, guiding couples through one of life’s most meaningful moments and helping to craft a ceremony that truly reflects your story. It’s a genuine privilege to witness the laughter, the tender vows, and the joyful tears and to create a warm personal atmosphere where families and friends come together in support.

I’ve always believed that every great love story deserves a ceremony that actually sounds like the people in it. I didn’t become a celebrant just to sign paperwork; I did it because I’m obsessed with that moment when a couple looks at each other and the rest of the room disappears.

My approach is simple; I listen more than I talk. I want to know the 'insider' jokes, the hurdles you’ve cleared together, and the small things that make you you. My goal is to create a ceremony that feels like a warm hug for your guests and a perfect reflection of your journey. When I’m not standing at the altar, you’ll likely find me singing in one of my bands (I’m a total rock chick), or spending time with my grown-up children.

I am passionate about celebrating love in all its forms. I provide an inclusive, respectful and welcoming service for couples of every background, identity and belief. From same-sex marriages, blended families, interfaith ceremonies and cultural traditions, I work with you to create a personalised ceremony that honours your story and values. Your ceremony will be free from judgement, full of warmth and authenticity, and crafted with attention to the language, rituals and theme needs that matter to you.
